SHOW TITLE

Jack & the Beanstalk

YEAR

2009

PERFORMED

Heswall Hall, Wirral

DESCRIPTION

Fe fi fo fum, catch a dose of panto fun!

This enduring tale has been given a modern makeover with a high school musical twist. Seasoned professionals (for that, read older people) from Off the Ground’s adult company joined forces with budding bards from the youth theatre to perform in our first ever combined production.

Hapless Jack and manic Jill star alongside a gang of clueless giant cheerleaders, a fistful of magic beans and the lurking, looming presence of Maudlin, the most evil, cunning and dastardly wizard in the world. And with more mince than a festive pie, Dame Mother Hubbard is guaranteed to raise smiles with a large helping of over-the-top (and sometimes inappropriate) gags.

Written for OTG by Andy Byron and Stephen Lunt.
Costume by Iona Farley and Emma Eveleigh.
Choreography by Jamie Barwood.
Directed by Andy Byron and Stephen Lunt.

Do you have questions regarding Off the Ground theatre productions?

What to wear to open air theatre?

The best way to know what to wear to an open air theatre performance is to check on what the weather is doing, but always play it safe. If you can carry a coat in case things turn sour, then we’d always recommend doing so. Beyond that, wear anything you like to an open air theatre performance, though please ensure you wear something!
