SHOW TITLE
Heroes of Troy (2022)
YEAR
2022
PERFORMED
Pensby High School, Irby Road, Pensby, Heswall, Wirral, UK
DESCRIPTION
The story of the rise and fall of Troy is one that we have all come across, at least in some form. It is one of humankind’s greatest stories and its influences can be seen throughout pop culture today. Nowadays we see it as weaving fact with fiction, bringing together those most famous of Greek names for what would prove to be the last great battle of the time. The ‘heroes’ we recognise from the stories of Troy are not without their faults. Indeed, many of them make for difficult reads today. In this version of the last days of Troy, which tackles parallel stories happening either side of the walls of Troy, one presented by our Tuesday group, the other by our Thursday group, we take a look at who the real heroes were in that forsaken city.
‘We achieve immortality not through ambrosia and ichor, but through history and reputation. Through statues and epic song’ Stephen Fry, Troy.
Directed by Daniel Cambridge, Pete Darwent, Phil Rayner, Dan Meigh, Connor Wray.

What to wear to open air theatre?
The best way to know what to wear to an open air theatre performance is to check on what the weather is doing, but always play it safe. If you can carry a coat in case things turn sour, then we’d always recommend doing so. Beyond that, wear anything you like to an open air theatre performance, though please ensure you wear something!
